Ok Now I'm a Weiner
I got a job! Yes, I did.
Yesterday RealPage called me back and they offered me the call center position. I get my own cubicle!! Ha ha I never thought that would be appealing to me but it is! I can't wait to start. They said that I will probably be starting around the 28th or so. My hours will start off being 11a to 8p. Which is not great but its not that bad either. I might be able to work out some other kind of schedule as time goes on that is more kid friendly.
Check out their website if you want to get a feel for what kind of software I'll be supporting. I'm not real clear on what kinds of questions I'll be troubleshooting yet. I just know I'll be getting paid enough so I won't have to be afraid anymore when the mail comes!
In other news, I'm still sick. I've been on antibiotics for 4 days now and I still wake up feeling like crap and sleep like crap. Last night I didn't have the kids so I almost slept through the night. But I had to get up this morning and put Alex's backpack on the porch because I didn't bring it to Rocky's last night, and when i got up my sinuses just revolted against me. Sneezing, coughing, pressure, all that good stuff. Today since its going to be warm I am going to take a few walks and see if that helps clear it up for me.

That is SO great about this job, and yes, exciting = own cubicle...WOOWOO! : ) that's more than I can say about my job in this office. a cubicle wouldn't be too bad most of the time.... ; )
and sorry to hear you are still battling with being sick and such. and YAY it's spring so there's pollen...that's one bad thing about seasons sometimes. I pray the antibiotics kicks it all out REAL soon and that you're feeling GREAT again before you know it!

Thanks I agree the allergies are here too which ironically may help because the sneezing clears my sinuses ha ha!!

that could be VERY true that ironically the allergies/pollen/sneezing could help you overall to clear it all out. LOL good one...
and yes, 40 degrees so far, and it's only going on 10 a.m. It'll be like early summer today, definitely tomorrow and into the weekend. woowoo! Enjoy, for sure!
Congratulations on the job!!!! Are you going to be working M-F? What are you doing as far as taking care of the kids? I am so excited for you, and I know how wonderful it is to not be scared to open mail.

It will indeed be M-F...I've never worked that kind of job before! In fact, I've never worked any kind of job where it was 5 days a week, 8 hrs a day. This one has somewhat unconventional hours but I will still be more rested than when I worked at IBM.
As far as the kids, I'm enrolling Alicia in my neighbor's daycare and Alex in the afterschool program she's having and then in the summer....not so sure. I won't have them everyday at first anyhow, since Rocky still has some custody, but Kris has said he would stay home some days in the summer to be with them. It will all work out :)
and yes, you are so SO right, B, that it WILL all work out with this new job/schedule, the kids, summertime, etc.

That's really cool and I'm proud of you for getting away from IBM. It'll be such a great change. And this will be good job experience for if you ever want to move, b/c there are TONS of jobs like this one all over the place.
