Where have I been
Well, not at work I'll tell you that much!! Since I haven't had my free online time at work as of March 11th, I barely get on the internet anymore!! I just don't have the time unless I want to end up sitting here for hours doing nothing else, which is what I've been doing since 10:00pm tonight. I did go on Alex's blog and add some pictures he has wanted me to add with captions that reflect what he says about each thing. He doesn't have time either hahaha!! But its amazing, his counter for his blog at this present moment shows 20 people online for him!!! All over the world. He would be thrilled.
Last Friday was his 7th birthday. I feel just awful because I'm broke and flaky and didn't get a good party together for him. He got off the bus in absolute tears because the lovely next door neighbor kid and some other kids were ganging up on him making him feel bad over something that let me tell you is absolutely stupid. I just can't WAIT until they move (April 11th yay!!) I don't mind his mother as a person but that kid is so F'd up in so many ways that I really cannot wait until he is away from my son. Alex had a party if you can call it that at Pizza Putt. No kids showed up. It was just me, Kris, Alicia, Kimmy and Keith, and Rocky. I didn't have invitations made up to send to school, so Alex just word of mouth asked a couple of kids to come but I dont' blame their mothers for not going when they hadn't even talked to us personally. Not that I could have afforded to host a bit PP party but he would have been happy with just 1 friend coming I think.
Saturday I brought the kids up to one of Rocky's friend's houses in Fairfield for their son's 5th birthday party. They had a huge party with tons of people there. That night Kris and I had no kids and nothing really planned so we ended up going to Burlington with the intention of getting dinner, a drink, and a movie with Isaac. We went to RiRa's for dinner, but got done eating so late we decided just to stay there. I had a beer and a gin and tonic (small one). Kris looked HOT in a long wool navy blue trench coat mmmmMMMMM!!! But he ate too much so when we got home he just fell asleep. Men.
Sunday I took a long walk in the deceptively cold afternoon and then picked the kids up early to go to my parents house for dinner and cake. Oh yes AND I met Mel at the Essex Alliance Church for the late service and really enjoyed going. Mel you are very sweet and I'm glad we went! I forgot how much I like listening to Pastor Scott. He really makes that church. Maybe I can get Kris to come with me sometime...or my parents!!
Other news: I'm sick as hell, and have been since last Monday. That's about a week ain't it. I have all the symptoms of the common cold...and viral pneumonia, acute sinusitis, allergies, and some of some other horrible things. See, I have to speculate because I HAVE NO HEALTH INSURANCE. So I just keep hoping this sore throat won't get worse, that the stiffness in my neck and upper shoulders is just from sleeping crooked, and the fatigue and green stuff I'm hocking up are just temporary. Ugh. I am trying to get Catamount Health Care but it can take up to a month to get it initiated.
Other other news: I went to the VTHITEC ITAR orientation a week or so ago for the FAHC (enough acronyms for you?) Medical Coder jobs that they are training for. So did 400 other people. 10 jobs, people. I also went on to attend the first screening tests where you do math, reading, pattern recognition, and multiple choice customer service questions with a piece of paper and a pencil yikes! I got called back for the second round of interviews which occured today (remember: Betsy feels like dogshit) and faked my way through it as far as how great I felt from being sick. Other than that I really didn't feel like I had to fake anything when they asked me the questions today. I really honestly want to do this. I think I can do it, my family and friends are very supportive of me doing this, and I am dying to have something called a CAREER instead of just a crappy old job. If I get a phone call tomorrow between 5 and 6pm then I will have yet another interview, this time with Fletcher Allen's people. That would be awesome. The training starts on April 21. I am not sweating it though. If this is meant to be, it will be. There is so much fate involved that its much bigger than me. So I'll just sit back, do what they ask, and go from there. There's a job fair Wednesday also that I am going to hit if I'm feeling good enough. I better be by then!!!!
I'll try to get better at posting at least every few days. I do have a new phone that WORKS now. My phone number has changed since 2 months ago so if anyone doesn't have the new number drop me an email and I'll give it to you. I'd post it here but...........lol

So sorry you've been sick! Both of our kids were sick all last week, it was awful.
Good luck with the FAHC job, and Happy Birthday to Alex! I'm sure he had a great time at Pizza Putt.
Love you, miss you, we've got to get together sometime soon!
And I would love your new phone number. :D
Hey girl,
Sorry to hear you're still feeling so UGH with whatever it is you have...I pray it's gone REAL soon and that's great you got called in for that other interview and you made it through that fairly well...
and, no worries on Alex's birthday (sorry to hear about the next door neighbor kids picking on him...it will be best when they're moved, for sure) as for Alex's party at P.P., I am sure he had a nice time with that anyway. to me, that'd be a great treat : ) speaking of which...i hope to get back there again sometime soon. but, i'm "broke" as well, so... : - o
But anyhoo...
and I am glad you got to go to church Sunday and I'm glad you enjoyed it! and thanks for the compliment. I appreciated the chat we had too...and that'd be cool if Kris did go with you sometime, if he wanted to. Pastor Scott is a great guy for sure...at least in his message/sermon-giving at least.
Well, I'll quit 'talking' now.. ; ) have a GREAT day/week! and God Bless...
Er, yeah, I need your phone number!
I can't believe those kids next door. They sound like they come from a broken home, and need some real love. Hopefully them moving will make them a stronger family...
Hopefully Alex wasn't bummed that no kids showed up, and he might have just had a better time with family anyway.
Let us know if you get that phone call about the job. If not, something else will pop up.
love ya, s
