Ugh.
Hello anyone. I have been MIA lately because the UTI/bladder/Kidney infection I have been holding at bay with cranberry juice and water finally got the best of me. I called in sick on Tuesday because Monday night starting at midnight I started really feeling the symptoms of the UTI and then it progressed into other nasty things and as I lay on the floor wondering if I should call 911 because I really felt like I was going to cease existing, I barfed a few times and felt good enough to crawl to my bed and pass out (around 4:30am) and didn't wake up until 11:15! I had a lovely roundabout trying to get a doctor's appointment and finally around 1:45pm I went the the walk-in clinic in Colchester, and after 2.5 hours of waiting (triage) I walked out with a prescription and the solemn warning that if it didn't clear up in 3 days I most likely have a kidney infection which would need other treatment.
I feel a bit better today, but I am spacey as hell for some reason. I really don't feel like I am living in reality right now. I feel like I am swimming behind my eyes, looking out at what is going on but not really participating, and my body is just in auto-pilot. Not good when you need to make conversation.
Rocky's shitbeater Thunderbird broke down in my driveway yesterday when he was waiting for Alex to get off the bus. Since I was just getting out of the doctor's office I told him to wait at my house and I would take the kids. When I got there he had the hood open and was cranking it to no avail.
(what he sees)
(what I see...)
So I let him take my car on condition he would get it inspected for me (it has a 10 on it) and put gas in it and he brought us to dinner. They towed his car this morning and I haven't heard from him since. I had Kris drive me to my parent's house and got my Dad's car. When I was there, Dad was putting in a new sink in the kitchen and I offered to help with the plumbing. At first he said no thanks, but then he realized that his back and knees would hurt a lot less if I did some of the job. Then he got the blowtorch out and DAMN I'm glad that I was there to at least make sure nothing caught on fire!! He's quite nonchalant with that thing!! I mean, he knows what he is doing but if he accidentally bumped it while he had it sitting there ON FIRE and it fell it would be burning down the house for sure!!! :) Hey, accidents happen!!
So Rocky was supposed to call me but never did surprise surprise. For all he knows I am stranded here with the kids. He has no idea that I have my Dad's car. He hasn't gotten in touch with me about how long it will be or anything. I have to work this weekend and I'm sure my Dad will want his car back soon. Yet another chapter in the selfish life Rocky lives.
Tomorrow I have to try to deal with the bills I have unpaid. The hospital wants $1700 from Alex's liver thing this summer. LOL they can't squeeze piss from a kidney stone!!! There ain't no money honey. So I have to arrange some kind of payment plan. Luckily I have been selling quite a few things on eBay lately not making a lot of money but a little bit and getting rid of some of the excess jewelry I have laying around. I just sold a swatch watch for 20$ that I never wore because I never got a battery for. Sweet.

Glad that you are starting to feel better... hope that the spaciness passes soon! No fun. Kris told me about the situation with Rocky's car (Love the pics, btw). Hope that you get yorus back soon!!
And I hear you about money. Don't even get me started about money.
Crap, I hope your kidney thing really isn't serious.
Dad with a blowtorch...sigh!
I hope you find the money for your bills. ebay is a Godsend for that sort of thing. You must have a lot of jewelry making supplies hanging around? You should open an Etsy jewelry supply store!
Sorry to hear you have been feeling real bad lately...I pray you are feeling great soon and I pray the meds help with the infections and whatnot soon enough! and I pray the bills are OK soon enough too...
Take care...
Thanks guys :) I have been feeling better now thank God but I feel like that UTI could come back if I stop drinking enough. My parents have helped me with some of Alex's medical bills and I called the guy at the billing center at FAHC and said, "I just don't have the money or I would send it to you" and he told me about a program they have for lower income people that I would qualify for to take care of the bigger bills. We'll see.
