Jewelia!

Today my dad and I and Alicia went to West Lebanon, NH to a store called Jewelia. He had bought me a gift certificate there last February and figured it was high time I used it!
What a cool store! I wish I had gone there when I was in highschool I would have DIED and gone to heaven!! Even in college! Its full of rhinestones, swarovski crystal-laden things, sparkly, glitzy, gaudy stuff!! I feel silly wearing that stuff now (although Alicia is perfectly qualified to wear it...) but I managed to find a couple of things I thought would be okay for my age:

This barrette is gorgeous in person. It reminds me of spring.

SUPER COOL!!!! I love this bangle its huge and I like the contrast of metal and crystal on wood!

The earrings I'm wearing are huge to small clear rhinestones and the headband I'm wearing I also got there. I love sequins and that is my favorite color blue. Of course, that isn't how its meant to be worn but Becka keeps calling me a hippie...

This is my engagement ring. I realized I hadn't put a pic of it up yet. It is the one my Mom had when my Dad first proposed to her. The diamond fell out of the setting many years ago (20 I would guess or more) and when I was a kid I found the diamond in the carpet (I always had an eye for sparkly things...) She said I could have it a while back, and I got it reset and sized to my finger a few years ago. I sold it to Kris for a small fee and now I get to wear it! It doesn't look good with my band though so its going to find a home on my right hand after next Sunday!

Wait...so you are wearing the engagement ring in front of mom and dad, but they don't realize you are engaged? I don't get it........

Beautiful. And yeah, what's up with the engagement ring? Wearing it on the left hand so your parents don't know it's significance?

Love love love the barrette. I love all things that make hair dos pretty. lol.

Yup I wear it in front of them and no one has asked so I'm not telling!!! If they ask me I'll tell them though. I am not sure if they have already noticed and are just not saying anything or what. The other day at Applefest Mom said, "You and Kris should get engaged before his mom gets here (November)" (Don't ask me what that was supposed to mean) and maybe she was waiting for me to say "We already are!!" but I just smiled.
Astrid: I am wearing it on the correct hand/finger, not trying to disguise it at all! I'll have to switch it to my other hand after the wedding though because it doesn't match the band and looks weird with it.
