A Real Man

Kris proved again how awesome he was last night. He came over for dinner, helped me make it, we all sat down at the table like a family, and when Alicia wouldn't eat he got up, sat next to her, and started to feed her one bite at a time!!! She ate more than she usually does for sure, and she didn't give him any trouble! Poor kid has no table manners though and that is completely my fault. She needs more practice. I don't usually have sit down meals because they are always wanting to play outside and usually they inhale something and are back out the door. Kris seems to command a sense of respect though and Alicia listened to him. I think he would make an excellent father. He also brought some Nintendo stuff over, older stuff but nonetheless it impressed Alex. See, here is a real man who knows what kids like and how to relate to them. Instead of singing songs about Poop and calling the kids names (like someone who shall remain nameless) he tries to get inside their head a bit and see what they like. And when Alex caught me giving Kris a quick kiss and seemed upset about it, Kris went up stairs and had a talk with him and told him not to worry, that he wasn't there to take me away from Alex, and that he knows that the kids come first but that he really likes me so he wants to be around us. I was floored. I am waiting for the halo and wings to pop out. I just hope he doesn't fly away.....

How sweet that he talked to Alex about your relationship. I can only imagine how nervous it would make a kid. Amazing that Kris could tell, and gave him some reassurance.

As far as I know, he is not going to fly away. :D
