First Off: Etsy Store!

My sister turned me on to Etsy.com and I in turn have told many others about it. Its waaaay better than eBay and people for the most part aren't trying to rip you off. I trust people on there more than I would eBay. And everyone is so nice and grateful and takes real care packaging and tracking your purchase to make sure you are happy! I have never come across a seller with less than 100% positive feedback which is more than I can say for anyone on eBay. Even I have 99.8% because of one mistake I made 4 years ago on eBay and I've never ripped anyone off!

Anyway I digress. Sarah (sis) has a pretty successful store on there where she sells hair accessories, wallets, and other small, inexpensive but fun items. I started mine in November but I tend to like to make things that are a little more individualized and need just the right person to come along to find them! So I have only sold 7 things so far. Plus my style is progressing as I learn more techniques and I am getting new ideas and refining my approach. But it is difficult and disheartening to check every day and sell nothing. The flip side is that it is a huge rush and confidence booster when I do actually sell something!!

If you have a creative spark and want to try your hand at this type of thing I definitely recommend opening a shop. It costs next to nothing to list things (.20 each) and they don't take a percentage of your sale like eBay does.

Oh and my store is Moonshine Designs if you would like to see what kinds of things are coming out of my imagination!!
