Obsessed

So I am now finding myself obsessed with skulls. Well, skeletons. I like things made of bone too. In upcoming weeks you will see a lot of jewelry made with things that are seemingly morbid. I don't know why, I am just going with it. I go through weird phases like that. I just read a book called "Green River, Running Red" by Anne Rule who is a true crime writer. She used to work with Ted Bundy (famous serial killer, not on Married with Children) and she wrote this book about the Green River Killer who murdered at least 60 women, mainly prostitutes, in the Portland/Seattle area of Washington State. Most of the victims were found years later and they were merely skeletal remains. For some reason I was inspired by this. I feel horrible for the families of these women and I look at my daughter every day and hope to God that I raise her in a way that she doesn't feel the need to put herself in a position that would get her killed. Thank goodness Vermont doesn't have a big Prostitution ring.

I also like things made of bone. I think its so neat that I am making things that can be worn almost as a tribute to the life they once supported. The bones of whatever animal these beads came from won't be rotting in the earth, they will be made into something beautiful that can be enjoyed for a long time!

Ok, that may scare a few of you and make you think I am extremely odd, but I don't hold back my truths. Why should I? :)

I like it, and am not shocked. ;) The inspiration is a bit... unique, but I would expect nothing less.
(I have not been avoiding or ignoring you, btw, but my computer at work decided it doesn't have a hard drive, so it is in the shop and I am in the library briefly. and there was Harry Potter......)
Let's make a plan to get together soon.
