Inspiration comes in the darndest ways

I ordered some brass stampings intending to use them for necklace pendants and I laid this one down on my journal (alligator skin blech but its pretty) and I thought "that looks awesome!!!" so I glued it on with wood glue and now I LOVE IT!!! I am going to buy a few blank journals and make some more like this to try to sell. This alligator skin one cost me 10$ on sale from Barnes and Noble, originally $24.95 (italian made) and I doubt I can afford this kind but Christmas Tree Shoppe is calling me...

I am bidding on an Auryn replica on ebay right now...its a dollar so far with 1 and a half days left. If you didn't know what an Auryn is it is the Never Ending Story's "Child like Empress" symbol of 2 snakes eating each other that was on the leather bound book that the kid found. I have always wanted to have one of those and now through the magic of ebay....

Here is a screenshot from the movie:I think that would look awesome on a leather journal...hopefully I win it and it only costs me a dollar....but I see other ones that are going for close to 100$ by the same seller so I am probably fucked.

really? i tried to find some on there and I couldn't find any with the metal embellishment...can you send me some examples? I am going to Xmas tree hopefully today or tomorrow to see if i can get some blank journals. The Auryn sold for 120$ !!!!! I got a cheaper one though (not metal) so maybe I can still make something cool with it.
